Visit to Holloran Vineyard

PGE retirees have many stories to tell.  Some are past history and some are current.  There are work, fun, adventure, volunteering stories, and some not described here.  These are some stories and pictures already submitted by our members (send more stories please).

15 PGE Retirees and friends attended the tasting.  Earl, from Holloran Winery, started us off talking for about 10-15 minutes giving us the history of the winery, what they are currently doing and answering questions.  They sound like a successful business and own vineyards is different parts of Oregon’s wine region.  We gathered in the middle of their vineyard in a gazebo and tasted five of their wines poured by a winery employee.  At the end of our visit we witnessed them unloading onto a conveyor belt some freshly picked grapes.  Holloran winery is in the heart of the Dundee Hills wine region and is surrounded on all sides by other vineyards in a beautiful country setting.
