Carol Drummond Maresh reports, “Many of us remember Doug Plambeck from Internal Audit. What you may not know is how passionate he was about getting low-income housing into his city of Tualatin. It took several years, and here is the result. Plambeck Gardens had its grand opening the afternoon of April 1, 2025. At the ribbon cutting ceremony were his widow, son, and daughter, along with several dignitaries who spoke about Doug’s determination and commitment to the project and community. Many pictures of the grand opening event including Doug’s family are available in the gallery. It’s a beautiful campus of three buildings (116 units), playground, and raised garden beds waiting to be planted. Way to go, Doug!”
