Hiking
Hiking, Wandern, Randonée, Rambling, Trekking – whatever you call it – it involves walking in nature. I hike once a week with a small group of friends and we cover approx. 6 to 9 miles. We take time for flowers, birds, and photos. If you are a speed demon or peak bagger, we are NOT the group for you. Most of our hikes are in the Columbia River Gorge – Washington and Oregon side. Once the snow melts, we head up toward the mountains. Other areas that can be reached within a 2-hour drive from Portland are also on the menu. All the hikers in our group are fully vaccinated. If carpooling, riders reimburse the driver __ cents/mile.
Contact me, Inge, at 503-720-6668 If you are interested in joining me. We always pack lunch; occasionally we stop on the way home for a bite to eat. We are prepared for all kinds of weather and carry the 10 essentials.
