We did it again 9/27/12 Nineteen retirees and
guests went on this trip in a van driven by "Hot Rod" Ed Miska and two
private cars. Dale Coyle, manager, welcomed us and gave us a lot of
wonderful information and a great PowerPoint presentation. He then took us
to one of the windmills and let us go inside and check it out. There were no
takers to climb the inside stairs to the top.
The weather was perfect! On our return trip home we stopped
and had a great lunch at Cousin’s Restaurant in The Dallas. This was the
retirees’ second Wind Farm Trip; the first was in September 2009. Those of
us that have been on both trips agreed the second trip was just as enjoyable
as the first one, and each time we learned new and interesting information.
Ed and Phyllis Miska again outdid themselves.
The AVA's 300 Clubs provide
more than 3,000 Walking Events, Bikes, occasional Swims, and
Snowshoes every year in most of our 50 states. All events are open
to the public.
