Retirees Tour Hydro Plants |

A group of intrepid PGE retirees and their families met at the Gresham Line Center early May 27, 2009 and embarked on a daylong tour of Oak Grove, Three Lynx, Faraday and River Mill hydro facilities, led by and organized by Chick Colby. The group pictured above at River Mill got a glimpse of the inner workings of these facilities, including the turbines, rotors, wicket gates, fish ladders and operation rooms, along with a short history of each plant. Contributing to the success of the day was the great weather that afforded many views of the Clackamas River along the way...... pictures submitted by Allen Richardson |
