Astoria trip -12 hours of fun! The group may have been small, but a great time was had by all eight individuals who made the trip to Astoria, which included: Ed & Phyllis Miska, Linda & Don Peerenboom, Al & Elayne Parsons, Bob Erickson & Anna Lee-Craig. They were able to carpool in two automobiles for the trip. The group left Portland at about 8 a.m. and returned at 8 p.m. and they packed a lot of fun into 12 hours. The tour included the Columbia River Maritime Museum, Columbia lightship, Flavel House, Astoria Column and an hour-long ride on the River Front Trolley. Everyone had a very enjoyable time and wished more retirees had been able to join. Hopefully another trip will be planned to Astoria next year. Special thanks to Ed and Phyllis for arranging this great trip.
